It’s The American Military Spouses’ Choir, so you know right off the bat that they’ll be going through because this is all about America and we’re patriotic, etc. Heidi finds her to be “beautiful” and “talented” and he thanks her for being there, while Heidi admits she was “sweating” watching her because it was such an intense act.
Mel also likes it – if even one thing was even a tiny bit off, the whole thing wouldn’t work. Anyhow, he’s built a nice big contraption down in the lobby, so we’ve all traveled down to see it happen. Heidi calls her “a powerful woman with a powerful voice” and really liked it, while Mel B thinks she’s great but needs to protect her voice. Howie finds her to be a really talented person with a great heart and insists that the song will change her life. We’ve got a singer up next, and it’s 39-year-old Deanna DellaCioppa who’s always wanted to be a singer but has struggled to find success because of her weight.
She even kicks them from her feet up to her head, which earns her a standing ovation from everyone, including the judges, so she goes and does even more. Howard loves this kind of thing – the fact that he sits in a room and creates these things with his mind.
